Advertising + Representation
Soon after being acquired by Amazon, Zappos tapped DMA United to develop and implement a communications and commercial strategy to build its luxury e-commerce platform, Zappos Couture.
In order to bring Zappos Couture credibility within the luxury fashion community, DMA United negotiated on behalf of its client, André Leon Talley, and secured him the role of Artistic Director.
DMA United then tapped Photographer Francesco Carrozzini to shoot the first campaign (of many) that entirely changed the brand’s overall look and feel. DMA United’s in-house Editorial Director spearheaded the creation of Zappos Couture’s new weekly digital magazine, “Lux Report”, which effectively blends commerce & content.
Commercially, DMA United successfully secured several internationally acclaimed brands for Zappos Couture, including Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Oscar de la Renta, Marni, and Etro.
